I've yet to find the time, and the impetus is mostly about access to the CPU, which I'm managing to do remotely and after hours. Radiologik Scheduler schedules program blocks for Radiologik DJ creating a full-time automated radio station along with. I'm looking for the time to make the change to a split setup. a segment of smart playlist based rotation picks/fills. a dated pick from a playlist, with fallback to an evergreen pick list. and then silence using an interrupt with a silent file or play-out bed, at the end time. That program block might be a TOTH package. Everyone is trained to keep the playlist end time at around 5 minutes before the next block. We have Scheduler set to build the next program block at 10 minutes before the block start time. It depends on the capabilities and interests of the volunteer in question. In every case, we have a mandatory, Scheduler scripted TOTH segment that provides the Legal ID and a few promotional messages. Other folks determine the programming manually at air time, pulling tracks from the library tab in DJ, and loading physical media (CDs/LPs.) A few folks do not determine the programming, they only announce the rotation we've created for the block in question. The Scheduler is used to pull the appropriate segment from a playlist dedicated to each program, this is done using the date command. Much of our programming that is pre-determined by a DJ, is also pre-recorded by them with breaks and announcements. or it might be manually loaded into DJ when needed. You might consider using another copy of DJ, where you can create the program track list rundown in the queue and then you could use "Save Program" or "Save Program Selection" to save the queue as a standalone file. ![]() that playlist could be referenced by Scheduler for a particular program block. Scheduler is aimed at generating programming from a collection of scripts, playlists and program files.Ī program could be constructed track by track in an iTunes playlist. ![]() The workflow you describe suggests folks would manually create their programming ahead of time.
